Maddie Herman is the Assistant Director of Intramurals and Recreation at Gwynedd Mercy University. She also completed her Master in Sports Management, during this time, she completed a thesis that discussed the effect physical fitness has on students’ academic performance and mental health.
Keri Mallon shared her experiences as a student-athlete and how athletics helped her through stressful, hard times.
Emma Spangler discussed how her journey with physical activity has helped her cope with mental health issues.
Jess Kraus provided essential insight into how intramurals and campus recreation helped her keep a level head, work through various academic stressors, and helped her find a supportive community at otherwise large universities.
