Black Student Unions aim to create dialogue addressing political and social issues in an inclusive way to educate all in the community. Since the 90s, GmercyU’s Black Student Union, has been doing exactly that. Aligned with the Sisters of Mercy’s Critical Concerns and GMercyU Core Values, BSU has aided in creating an inclusive atmosphere on campus while collaborating with other Identity Bases organizations on campus, including AAUW (American Association of University Women), Pride Alliance, and ASA (Asian Student Association).
